This will be a weekend of multipitch climbing with priority for
the Women's Mentor Group. We will be heading to an area that
allows for short multipitches, both trad and sport, at a variety
of difficulty levels from easy upward. We will plan to have 4
climbing teams of up to 3 people each, with the opportunity for
radio contact throughout the day. You can practice leading,
following, and there will also be the opportunity for single-pitch
climbing. The first-choice destination is Hidden Valley near
Jasper - will be weather dependent. For those who can take
Friday off, we will drive up Thursday night and camp
(Pocahantas Campground) through Sunday. You can also join
on Friday night. Climb 2-3 days, returning Sunday evening,
probably late. Carpools can also be coordinated among
participants according to schedule.
