Itinerary: |
We will be heading out to scramble some of the peaks near Hidden
Lake area in Lake Louise. The objective would be bike in to Temple
Lodge, hike to the Hidden Lake campground. Hang our overnight
backpacks, put on our day packs and head out to climb Mt. Redoubt
via the Bob Spirko route.
The objective for the next day would be to scramble Mt. Richardson,
Pika and if we have energy galore to make it up Ptarmigan Peak.
These peaks are all in easy reach from the Hidden Lake
Campground.
I have not scrambled these peaks so there will be an expectation to
have everyone assist in route finding, and decision making.
Wilderness permits are required and can be purchased through
Parks Canada plus an additional $12.00 payment is required to the
trip coordinator to camp at Hidden Lake.
Intermediate to advanced scrambling skills with a high fitness level
and the ability to be comfortable on difficult terrain will be an asset.
If I have not scrambled with you before, please send me an email
listing your recent scrambling experience.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
