Itinerary:

Windy Slabs @ Yam - A Rock Review Event

"Windy Slabs is one of the more classic slabby routes on the West End [of Yam]. It was the second of three routes established by John Martin in October 1968". 260m, 6 pitches, 2 stars.

At least one participant needs to have experience seconding multi-pitch trad, so email me a short climbing bio of the past year. Everyone needs to have a good level of fitness to hike half way up Yam and be comfortable descending on scree. We'll be climbing with our own backpacks, so pack light.

You must register at the bottom of this page to attend this event. You must also be registered for the Rock Review.

Please also note when you register for this event if you are bringing trad draws and/or a sport anchor. Where do you note this? In the space provided on the screen after you enter your name/password on the bottom of this page and press Continue.

Required Items to Bring:
- harness, helmet, belay device, rock shoes
- small climbing pack, personal anchor, approach shoes
- trad draws, sport anchor if you have them
- lunch, water, rain clothes

- sunscreen, chalk, bug spray

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
