Let's assume that the weather will be fantastic
for the next full moon and we can have a full
moon scramble!
The objective is Midnight Peak which is classed
as an easy scramble, hiking up to Baldy Pass
and then up the East slope of Midnight. There
is an elevation gain of 944m.
We'll meet at Our Lady of the Assumption at
5:30 pm and leave as quickly as possible for
the scramble. The pace we'll be doing will be
relaxed, and the round trip time will be
approximately 5 hours - depends how long we
stay on the summit taking in the views.
You don't need to be super fit, or experienced,
this will be a friendly trip.
Headlamps and helmets are absolutely mandatory.
We will be descending in the dark, you should
understand what that means and be comfortable
with the increased commitment level. If you
have any questions at all, just send us an
email.
We'll be getting back very late - if you have a
strict bed time, this isn't for you.
These trips run on a principle of group
collaboration. Everyone is expected to be
involved in decision making and safety of the
party.
Dogs are very welcome on the trip and K2 the
laziest Husky in the world will be coming.
Please check the objective to be sure that your
dog is up for the evening and email us with any
questions or concerns.

Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
