for back-country walk-in camping permits (about
$7 per nigh/person), backpack Waterton
Lakeshore Trial, report at the Goat Haunt,
Rainbow Falls, Boulder Pass Trail to Lake Janet
campsite (about 20 km)
July 18 Boulder Pass Trail, Hole in the Wall,
Boulder Pass campsite (about 20 km)
July 19 Boulder Pass Trail to Upper Kintla Lake
and off trail bush-walk following North Kintla
Creek; random camping (about 15 km)
July 20 Bennett Pass and Akamina Ridge Trail
(about 15 km); shuttle bus to the car; visit at
the Waterton Info Center to report our return
to Canada & drive back.
Required Items to Bring:
Canadian or US passport (mandatory - there is
no entry via Goat Haunt for citizens of other
countries), credit card to pay for permits,
Parks Pass, tent, sleeping bag, thermarest,
stove, gas, cooking utensils, hiking boots,
poles, tarp, warm layers, hat, gloves,
sunglasses, headlamp, food, water, water
treatment tablets or filter, First Aid
Kit with blisters care and your own medication,
waterproof bag to store your food in, and a
rope to hang it on a tree (bears safety
precaution), cash for drivers.

Notes:
I have not been to this area - please come
prepared for route finding, river/creeks
crossings, leaving camp about 7-8am each day,
possible random camping, Please email me if you
have any allergies, medical conditions, and if
you are taking any medication - crucial for the
group well being. Please list what similarly
long backpacking trips that you have done
recently, confirm that you have read the event
description, and that you have all required
items for the trip.
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
