Itinerary: |
Edit: we are now going to the Hanger due to
snowfall warning/ poor forecast.
Head out for a lovely evening of sport climbing
at Sunshine slabs. You don't need to be able
to lead climb, Kyle will be our star rope gun;)
Trip requirements you must have passed a belay
test at a gym and be comfortable belaying.
5:15 pm - meet at the recycling bins at Stoney
Trail and the Trans Canada Highway
5:35 pm leave the meeting area promptly at
5:35pm - we need all the daylight we have!
6:30 pm arrive at the trail head
6:30 pm climbing
Dusk -Pack up the ropes, have a refreshment in
the parking lot with everyone else, then head
home
Night -Get back to town and sleep
Note that if 5:15 is too early for you to meet,
we will announce which crag we will be going to
the day before the event, and you can meet us
there. We will be bringing the cooler for the
après climbing review and social. If you want
to participate, please bring a contribution of
your favourite beverage to the cooler.
|
Required Items to Bring: |
helmet, harness, rock shoes
|
|
Recommended Items to Bring: |
Sport climbing gear, your own rope (if you
don't mind other people top roping on it, we
will also be bringing club ropes and anchors),
water, snacks, camera. Also, don't forget to
bring a "refreshment", to put in the cooler for
the après-climb gathering in the parking lot. A
refreshment can be the adult version or
anything else that tastes good after an evening
of climbing. It's difficult for everyone to get
to a pub afterwards, so this is the best
alternative.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.

Trip Feedback
If you have any feedback, positive or negative, concerning this trip or any other, we want to hear from you! You can send any feedback you may have to the Section Chair.
