Itinerary: |
Ski Mount Hector.
Expect a very long day with big elevation
gain and variable ski conditions. Participants
should have at least AST1 avi training and a
season of back country skiing experience.
Consider bringing hiking boots or shoes you can
use for the initial approach in case its melted
out.

Required Items to Bring: |
Transceiver, probe, shovel, AT or Tele skis,
skins, skin wax, goggles, warm clothes
(layers), glacier kit, sunglasses, boot
crampons and ice axe, sunscreen, enough food
and water/hot drink for yourself.

Recommended Items to Bring: |
Ski Crampons, camera, lots of energy and some good
jokes.

Meet at the recycling bins on the west side of Hwy
1, near the Stoney trail exit at 5:00 AM. Please
have some cash for the driver in your car pool($10
- 15) and review the waiver prior to arrival.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
