Itinerary:
It would be tragic to spend a beautiful warm sunny Friday in April indoors, so cast off your melancholy and join me in search of some endorphins on Yamnuska. The plan is to go as fast as the group can go, generally keeping the heart rate high and the baggage load low. That said, we won't push for a record if we are not all interested in that sort of pace. We will aim to be at the Yam trailhead at 11 am. We should be done and back in Calgary by 5 pm.
Required Items to Bring:
Helmet, good shoes or boots, snacks, water, appropriate clothing and layers.

Recommended Items to Bring:
hiking poles, personal first aid kit.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:   Take the 1X connector from Hwy 1 to Hwy 1A and follow Hwy 1A to the left turn into the Yam parking lot.

Notes:
We will be avoiding any and all avalanche risk so shovels, transceivers, and a probe will not be necessary.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
