Itinerary:
This is an intermediate ski tour, starting in Fish Creek Parking lot (near Lake Louise), and continuing up the Lake Louise ski-out, and up to Halfway hut. From there, we'll head up to Hidden Lake to a moderate slope to get some runs in. Mostly a ski tour, and if time permits a couple of ski runs as well. The pace will be slow & steady friendly. A high level of fitness is not required. This location has options given the current avalanche hazard (we can modify our route based on any changing conditions). Participants must have at least AST1 training, and be able to ski a blue run at the resort. If you haven't skied with Vi or Susan before, please email a description of your ability and experience. A mix of experienced and relative beginners are welcome on the trip.
Required Items to Bring:
Your own assessment & knowledge of the current avalanche conditions. Also avi gear (beacon, probe, shovel). Whatever else you need for a day ski trip. Email Vi if you have any questions or concerns.

Recommended Items to Bring:
Your own opinions on the route and input into group safety discussions. You don't have to be an expert in the back-country, but you do have to participate!

How to Get There:
Carpool Departure Time:   07:30 AM
Carpool Location:   Our Lady of Assumption school parking (by Sunnyside greenhouse just North of 16ave)
Carpool Directions:   Google it.

Notes:
Positive attitude is a must!

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
