Itinerary:
8 am: Meet at Carpool along Hwy 1A near Cochrane; 8am: Leave for Canmore ASAP; 9:30: Park at Cougar Ck. Parking area; 10:00: Hike Up Cougar Ck. to Canadian Fork & turn right; 11:00: Turn Right again and Hike up Creek into north side of Grotto Mtn.; 12:00: Reach Gong Show Falls Gr. 4; 12:30: Start climbing; set up anchor above the climb for top-roping; everyone climbs, has fun, experiments, and explores valley above the falls; 15:30: Descend to base of falls, begin hike out; 17:30: Reach parking lot, start drive to Calgary; 19:00: Arrive Cochrane, consider debriefing @ Pub or Restaurant.
Required Items to Bring:
Helmet, harness, 2 Ice Tools, climbing boots, crampons, personal tie-in sling (daisy chain, etc.), belay device, warm clothing incl. gloves/mitts, adequate personal food & drink.

Recommended Items to Bring:
Ice grips for boots (Yak Trax, etc.) as the approach may have extensive flow ice; hiking pole; hot drink.

Carpool Departure Time:   08:00 AM
Carpool Location:   #5 Meskanaw Rd. Hwy 1A Cochrane
Carpool Directions:   From Calgary drive toward Cochrane on Hwy 1A for 13km from Nose Hill Drive/Crowfoot Shopping Centre, notice communication tower just north of highway; immediately after passing the tower turn right on Meskanaw/Glendale; turn right again on Meskanaw Rd., find #5 on right, in the bush. 8 am.

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
