Itinerary:
The climb is a WI4 multi-pitch located about 1 1/2 hours up the Galatea trail in Kananakis. The route is 300m, the first pitch is the crux, followed by WI3 upper pitches. The route is south facing, so if it looks questionable do to the recent warm weather we will continue up the trail to Tasting Fear as the backup alternate.
Required Items to Bring:
Standard ice climbing equipment,eg. helmet, harness, ice tools, 3-4 locking carabiners, personal anchor

Recommended Items to Bring:
warm clothing, extra gloves, lunch and water

How to Get There:
Carpool Departure Time:   07:30 AM
Carpool Location:   Hwy 1 recycle bins south of Valley Ridge
Carpool Directions:   We will meet at the recycle bins at 7:30, drive one hour to the Galatea trail head. Return around 6:00'ish

Cancellation Policy
If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
