We have a week at Kokanee Glacier Chalet! Fly in March 5th and
out on the 12th.
This is a self-guided, self-catered trip in fabulous terrain, with
both
above treeline skiing for blue sky days, and lots of glades
skiing for
the snowy days.
The hut is quite luxurious, with indoor plumbing, propane and
elctricity.
Total cost is $1100 including hut, helicopter and
cleaning
supplies. A portion of the camp managers flight and hut
fees will be shared equally ($50 ea.) amongst participants in
accordance with
club policy. The remaining amount will be held until expenses
are balanced
and most likely a refund given following the trip.
To register for the trip sign up on the website like any other club
trip, the coordinator will contact you and confirm you're a
suitable participant. You'll then be asked to send full payment to
the coordinator to secure your spot.
We fly into the hut on March 5th and out on the 12th. In case
you haven't been around helicopters in winter you should be
aware sometimes flights get delayed due to poor weather and/or
visibility. There's nothing we can do about that and no refunds
will be issued in case of flight delays. I just confirmed, there is
cancelation insurance offered for purchase through the ACC
National office, call 403-678-3200 and Jeff will help you out.
We'll form groups of 2-3 and they will take turns preparing
meals for the entire group. Everyone will be responsible for
there own breakfasts, lunches and what ever they would like to
drink.
There is a weight restriction so people will have to keep their
load within reason.
Required Items to Bring:
Something to slide around on AT, tele, splitboard, beacon ( 3
antenna), shovel, probe, daypack.
Recommended Items to Bring:
Anything to make yourself comfortable in an already comfortable
Chalet.
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
Trip Feedback If you have any feedback, positive or negative, concerning this trip or any other, we want to hear from you! You can send any feedback you may have to the Section Chair.
Registration for this event closed on Tuesday, March 01, 2016 at 07:00 AM.
