Itinerary:
After the first ice climbing trip with the dome tent to the Dry Range in December was a full success, it is time to get the monster (the tent) out again for another ice climbing adventure. This is a self guided trip, and you should be able to be independent; however, beginners are welcome too, as long as they bring their own rope gun. We also can try to hook you up with somebody if you don't have anybody. If some people want to lead official ACC trips to certain destinations, please let me know and I will add them to this trip and we will coordinate people accordingly for car pooling etc. The the plan is to leave Calgary either on Friday evening or (most likely) on Saturday morning, drive into the Ghost all the way up to Claw Creek (Mallamute Valley) and set up our camp there. After the dome and all our sleeping tents are up, we will head out to do some shorter climbs or top roping somewhere for the rest of the day. On Sunday, everybody is free to do whatever they want, as long as people have a ride back scheduled. Some of us will stay until Monday evening, so please indicate if you want/can stay another night and day and we will try to accommodate that depending on seats available in the vehicle(s). The Ghost is a wild place as most of you know, and therefore access is not always straight forward and easy especially in the winter. Therefore 4x4 vehicles with good clearance will be required to get in. If you have a 4x4 you don't mind bringing into the Ghost (river crossings with ice shelves, snow drifts and pretty rough terrain might be encountered) please let me know using the email address given below. In case we haven't climbed on ice together this season (15/16) also would like to get a short description of your ice climbing experience. Please send this, your travelling plans and if you have a Ghost Mobile to link_tobias(at)web.de The registration os ope till Tuesday 12pm, and people will be selected the same day.
Required Items to Bring:
A more detailed gear list will be send out to the participants.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
