Carpool leaves for Banff @ 07:00 with arrival at Tunnel Mountain Village II @ 08:30 to set up camp. I will be staying in Banff Friday night, so will meet at the event. We can also meet at the trail head @ 08:30, if the group prefers to start earlier and set up camp after climbing. Approach is approximately 25 minutes. Climbing options include WI2-5, depending on conditions. Top rope or lead, depending on skill level of group. We will be back to the campground in time for dinner at 6:00 PM. Required Items to Bring: Ice tools, crampons, climbing boots, belay jacket, climbing gloves, belay gloves, harness, helmet, belay device, 2 locking carabiners, water, food, warm clothing, gas money. Recommended Items to Bring: Hot drinks, trekking poles, extra gloves, gaiters. Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review our participant responsibility guidelines! Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
