Itinerary: |
This coming Saturday I am planning to head out to
climb Lady Mac and welcome any of our members,
incl members new to the section, to join me on
this straight forward and fun outing. The
conditions look good and excepting a few drifts,
we should have only a shallow layer of snow to
contend with with the upper slopes blown free by
past strong winds.
There is a fair amount of elevation gain of close
to 1,300 meters and if all goes well we will also
attempt to ascend to the true summit along the
airy summit ridge. For this last bit you should
feel comfortable with some exposure, however, not
everyone needs to go that far and we will decide
once we are near that point. I can assist by way
of short roping if need be.
We will depart the car pool at the green bins on
the south side of Hwy 1 near the west end of town
at 8 am sharp and hope to make it back to town by
around 4pm.
