Itinerary:
The snow is here and some of us still want to get out on foot for some exercise. This Saturday I am looking to take it easy and just hike up to the top of Prairie Mountain, west of Bragg Creek. Its only 700 vertical meters up and as the trail is steep it is one of my favourite exercise hills close to town. No, we will not have to make the top in 45 minutes, that is on other days! We can take all the time we want and if we want extend the trip a bit by dropping down to the valley through which Prairie creek flows and hike back to the parking from there. If you are new to the club, please come out, go on a fun hike with us and meet some of the other members.
Required Items to Bring:
layered winter clothing, goretex jacket, sun glasses, ice walkers, pole, toque and gloves, food and drink plus a daypack to load all this mess into

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
