Looks like we are getting a bit of snow in the
front ranges and while the skiing is still
marginal, we can sure get outside to practice our
winter scrambling skills and get to play on what
becomes rocky terrain with snow in all the right
places we want to place our boots on. Following
the ridge on Baldy allows us to move on easy rock
and snow with gloves on rock and that can make it
all so much fun, right?
Anyway, if you are keen to tromp up a ridge,
offering some exposure in places on both snow and
rock, for some 800 vertical meters in what looks
to be cloudy with snow falling conditions, then
this trip is for you.
It won't be a race to the top, but we are not
looking to doodle either, as it is nice to move
and stay warm doing so.
