Itinerary: |
What could be more romantic than sleeping in
hostel bunk beds over Valentine’s day weekend?
Nothing, because ice climbing is hella-romantic!
Bring your partner (could be your romantic
partner, or a partner with whom you’ve developed
a platonic but deep & loving relationship through
snuggling on alpine bivies, this is not a
judgemental trip!) out for a long weekend of ice
climbing. We'll head out Friday afternoon, climb
all weekend, returning Monday evening.
We’ll make more concrete plans as the trip date
approaches. We might climb all together as a
group on some days, and break up into smaller
teams on others.
Leading ice is not required, but participants
should have some prior ice climbing experience,
the ability to give a safe belay, and be willing
& able to participate in group safety decisions.
We’ve already booked 6 spots at the Mosquito
Creek hostel ($72/person for the 3 day weekend).

Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
