Itinerary: |
This trip is Slow and Steady Friendly.
What does that mean? It means we're out to
enjoy ourselves at whatever pace is comfortable
for the group. If you're new to hiking or
scrambling or just not looking to explore the
meaning of VO2 Max, this trip's for you.
Shoulder season is hiking and scrambling
season. It's too cold to climb and there's a
few too many rocks for even rock skis. Luckily
the mountains provide for us in all conditions.
The plan is to meet at the Our Lady of the
Assumption parking lot and then head out to K-
Country for a hike or scramble. The weather is
pretty variable so if things are clear and dry,
we'll do an easy scramble and if things are
getting a little snowy or wet, we'll go for a
hike.
We'll lock down the specifics of our
destination a little closer to the date once we
have a better feeling for the weather.
Feel free to send an email if you have any
questions.

Don't be a flake - if you're going to bail, bail
early enough that we can fill your spot!
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
