Itinerary: |
A good bet for early season powder, skiing
right from the car. Many touring routes.
>300m vertical runs.
FRIDAY: Carpool, depart early and drive approx
5.5 hours to Kootenay Pass. Ski the afternoon
and drive 40 minutes to stay in Ymir Hotel
for the night. Take in the Fri nite Hillbilly
jam session and dinner special in the pub, if
desired.
SATURDAY: Ski the day at Kootenay pass and
return to Hotel for night.
SUNDAY: Shorter ski at the Pass departing early
p.m. for home.

Notes: |
Hotel Ymir is interesting, comfortable and good
price, expect maybe $25 -30 per person/night
based
on two people.
If you sign-up for this trip please indicate if
you are able to drive, vehicle type, how many
people you can take with gear and confirm if
you have winter tires (law in BC).

Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
