Itinerary: |
Katherine and I are going cragging and welcome
anyone who wants to join. This is NOT a guided
trip - we're going cragging, cragging is a sort
of social thing, so if you feel like climbing
stuff in the same area, feel free to join. You
should be at very least mostly self sufficient.
Really, it's sort of like going cragging by
yourself except that someone else gets to
arbitrarily decide where you're going.
I'm a terrible, terrible climber so I'll be
exploiting Katherine for rope gun duties. If
you aren't comfortable leading, you should
bring your own rope gun or at least a rope and
be willing to climb whatever routes Katherine
puts up - which is basically the boat I'm in -
Katherine puts up routes, I try and fail to
climb them, and try not to fear-sob too much.
The itinerary is this: Katherine and I will be
getting breakfast at 8:30am at the Rocky
Mountain Bagel Company in Downtown Canmore.
Why? Because they have Oso Negro coffee and
bagels are delicious - why are you asking silly
questions? We will eat delicious bagels while
we pour over guide books and try to figure out
where we feel like climbing. Hopefully we'll
have this sorted by about 9:00am, but lets be
honest, it'll probably be at least 9:30am
before I've consumed enough coffee to be even
remotely pleasant to be around or have figured
out what crag I feel like clinging to rock
while bawling at.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it,
is to get to the Rocky Mountain Bagel Company
in Downtown Canmore before Katherine and I
figure out where we're going to set up for the
day and then climb until we're don't feel like
climbing anymore.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
