Participants should have at least AST1 avi course and a season of backcountry skiing experience. We can expect crusty spring skiing conditions with hopefully a dusting of new snow. The start and finish are about 5km apart, we will need at least two vehicles, so we can place one at the Commonwealth Creek exit. There is a possibility that trip location may change, depending on conditions. Required Items to Bring: Transceiver, probe, shovel, AT or Tele skis, skins, skin wax, goggles, warm clothes (layers), sunglasses, sunscreen, enough food and water/hot drink for yourself. Recommended Items to Bring: Ski Crampons, Camera, lots of energy and some good jokes. How to Get There: Carpool Departure Time:   06:00 AM Carpool Location:   Stoney Trail Recycling Bins Carpool Directions:   Meet at the recycling bins on the west side of Hwy 1, near the Stoney trail exit at 6:00 AM. Please have some cash for the driver in your car pool($10 - 15) and review the waiver prior to arrival. Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review our participant responsibility guidelines! Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
