Itinerary:
This isn't an instructional course. Rather, it is an opportunity to review and practice crevasse rescue skills. You should already have crevasse rescue training, but don't let that stop you from coming. Meeting: 840 1st ave nw There's a little park with some goal posts that we can use to pull a bike or two out of a "crevasse". Afterwards, if people are up to it, we can possibly climb at stronghold or go to the pub!
Required Items to Bring:
Harness Belay device Multiple carabiners, including 2 locking rope, some extra slings Prussik cords

Recommended Items to Bring:
glacier travel gear, harness, rope

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
