Meet at Our Lady of Assumption School @ 6:20 to
sign waivers and carpool, if required.
Carpool leaves @ 06:30 with arrival at Marble
Canyon @ 08:30. Approach is approximately ten
minutes. Climbing options include a steep WI5
and mixed in the M 6-8 range. Top rope or
lead, depending on skill level of group. We
will be back to Calgary around 6:00 PM. There
are limited ice lines in the canyon, so I would
like to get an early start to beat the rush.
If all lines are taken, we may have to go to
Haffner Creek instead. You must have the
strength & endurance to climb back out of the
canyon, as we have to rappel in to start the
climb.
Required Items to Bring:
Ice tools, crampons (dual or mono), climbing
boots, belay jacket, climbing gloves, belay
gloves, harness, helmet, personal anchor, belay
device, 2 locking carabiners, water, food, warm
clothing, gas money.
Recommended Items to Bring:
Hot drinks, trekking poles, extra gloves, gaiters.
