Itinerary:

As part of the inaugural Ski Review at the Kananaskis Avalanche Awareness Day on Saturday, January 17th, 2015, the plan is to ski in the Kananaskis area. Location will be dependent on conditions and group preference. There will be opportunities to join the technical sessions talking about digging, transceivers and snowpack analysis, as well as getting some turns.

If interested in joining this trip, please also sign up for the Ski Review. I will be winter camping at Burstall in the evening and so feel free to stay the night. You can of course also chose to return home after skiing.

Required Items to Bring:
Skis/board, skins, poles, boots, avalanche transceiver ( 2 -3 antenna only), probe and shovel.

Recommended Items to Bring:
Helmet. If camping overnight: winter camping gear, food for 2 days.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
