Itinerary: |
The plan is very loose to say the least. We will
carpool to where we won't have to walk far from the
road to get some descent turns. Activities may
include reviewing some basic companion rescue
skills. This is a great opportunity to bring out a new
skier / split boarder to try out the sport or maybe you
just bought new gear and want a easy spot to
practice switching from skinning to sliding. We can
work on basic skiing technique as well, the terrain
will be very conducive to beginners of all ages. I have
to be back in Calgary for 4pm so have no fear this
won't be a long day.
|
Required Items to Bring: |
AT / Split or Tele gear, skins, Tranceiver, Shovel,
Probe, Lunch, Water / Tea and anything else you
need to make yourself comfortable for a day in the
wilderness, oh and a Backpack that can carry all this
stuff.
|
|
Recommended Items to Bring: |
A friend who can sign and keep you happy even
when your tired and cold, bring some warm clothes
and make sure you are prepared to spend the day
outside.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.

Trip Feedback
If you have any feedback, positive or negative, concerning this trip or any other, we want to hear from you! You can send any feedback you may have to the Section Chair.
