Itinerary:
It had been my custom to scramble up a mountain before the big feast on the 24th and thus I am offering to lead a winter scramble for the club on that day. We will have to see what the snow and weather conditions are before we determine which mountain gets climbed. The range of peaks available is numerous and if snow conditions allow, we could tramp up the Opal Ridge or do the Yam Traverse. If it is really rotten out there we would simply hike up Cox Hill or head up Heart Mountain. Even Lady Mac or Ha Ling peak could be easily done if the conditions are right. If there is a big group, it will be easier to break trail. I will be coming back from Europe on the 22nd and will determine conditions for our trip on the 23rd and let everyone know about the objective
Required Items to Bring:
Warm and layered clothing, ice axe and crampons for icy sections, thermos for warm drink, gaitors and ski pole, extra gloves and mitts, ski goggles if it is blustry out.

Recommended Items to Bring:
Strong legs, some Christmas cheer, mulled wine and a santa hat.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

Cancellation Policy
If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.

Trip Feedback
If you have any feedback, positive or negative, concerning this trip or any other, we want to hear from you! You can send any feedback you may have to the Section Chair.
