Itinerary:
We'll head to a place where we can run lots of top-rope laps on steep ice in the WI 4-5 range, working on steep ice technique, efficiency and endurance. Location will be Johnston Canyon or Marble Canyon. Meet at Our Lady of Assumption School at 6:30AM. We'll leave the crag around 4:30PM. Requirements: - Ability to belay safely - Ability to top rope WI 4 ice. We can set up a second top-rope on a mixed climb or other ice climb.
Required Items to Bring:
Headlamp, Ice tools, crampons, climbing boots, belay jacket, several climbing gloves, belay gloves, harness, helmet, belay device, 2 locking carabiners, water, food, warm clothing, gas money.

Recommended Items to Bring:
Hot drinks, extra gloves, gaiters.

Cancellation Policy
If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
