Itinerary: |
Leave Calgary after work on Wed (Christmas eve). Drive to
Rogers Pass and ski into the Wheeler Hut
late Wednesday night (40min ski). Ski Thurs, Fri, Sat based out of
Wheeler Hut (with a potluck dinner on Christmas Day). Drive to
Golden Sat night (no space at Wheeler). Ski Sunday in Rogers Pass
again, or somewhere in the Rockies on the way home
Note : Please do not pay for the hut fees ($90) until you have been
added to the participant list.
Beginner skiers welcome (we may split into two groups based
on skills) but AST1 minimum required.
Sometime beforehand, please take the test for the annual permit
for Rogers Pass: Ski Touring in Rogers Pass and The
Winter Permit System

Required Items to Bring: |
tranceiver (2-3 antennas only), probe, shovel, skis/board, skins,
ski boots, poles, sleeping bag, food (to be arranged) and warm
clothing.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
