Itinerary:
Clear skies on the divide Sunday, so why not Mt Weed per Alan Kane's guide p299. This scramble starts off in the trees but very quickly emerges onto the slopes of Observation Peak. From there the slopes are partially grass covered lower down to typical scree higher up. A few easy ledges gets you beyond a rockband. After that it is just a scree plod to the top. Awesome views of glaciers and lakes from the summit. May be a bit of a cornice to negotiate; otherwise it's listed as a moderate. Should have a little snow to help with the rubble. Listed as Class 2/3
