Itinerary: |
The main purpose of this trip is to clean the
Elk Lakes hut and prepare it for the busy
winter season ahead. However, if we finish
early, there will be time to ski, ice climb, do
photography, or whatever else in the area. My
job as coordinator extends only to the hut
cleaning, so once that is done, we can regroup
and do other activities. The National Club
will be providing food and drinks(BYOB), but we
will have to carry it in. Also, we have the
hut booked at no charge for the entire weekend,
so if you are interested in going in on Friday
instead, let me know. Neil Baker, one of the
ACC roaming custodians will be joining us. As
well, I can arrange for club ropes if required.

Required Items to Bring: |
I don't know how much snow will be on the
approach, but you might need skis or snowshoes
to get to and from the hut. Plus, dust masks,
rubber gloves, etc. will be required for
cleaning.

Recommended Items to Bring: |

Lakes area with

Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.

Trip Feedback
If you have any feedback, positive or negative, concerning this trip or any other, we want to hear from you! You can send any feedback you may have to the Section Chair.
