Itinerary: |
We'll leave Our Lady of the Assumption School
at 5ish after work on Friday. We'll drive to
Golden and stay in a motel for the night.
Saturday morning we're up early and on the road
by 7am. We'll then head up to the Asulkan Hut,
dump our stuff and spend the rest of the day
skiing. Sunday we'll be on Dawn Patrol, ski
until our legs fall off and then try to hit the
cars just a little bit after dark before
driving back to Calgary.
The focus on this trip will be moving at a
decent pace so we can pack in as much skiing as
possible. You should be comfortable with doing
a minimum of 1500m of elevation gain, a bunch
of it with an overnight pack. Expect to make
use of every scrap of daylight we can get
during these short days.
Participants don't need to be amazing skiers,
but they DO need to be able to move at a decent
pace and make their own decisions.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
