Elevation gain: 1,000 meters aprox.
Time: 6-9 hours roundtrip (plus driving time to/from trailhead)

This will be a moderate to difficult scramble starting with a hike into the back of Ptarmigan Cirque, then a steep scree ascend to the col and from there a climb up the narrow ridge with exposed sections to the summit at 3218m. We'll be travelling together at a moderate pace.

Rain/wind gear and warm layer of clothing, no matter what the weather forecast is,

How to Get There:
Event Directions:   We'll take Highway 1 for 79Km to Kananaskis/Highway 40 turnoff. Then drive south on Highway 40 for 60 Km to the Highwood MEadows parking lot at Highwood Pass.

Cancellation Policy
If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
