Picking Your Mountain Objective
When you decide to head to the hills, the
first two questions you are asked are:
when and where are we going?
There are lots of things to consider, and the
Training & Leadership committee has put together
an evening to help you consider the topic.
Specifically intended to help aspiring or
less experienced leaders,as well as members who
organize their own trips, you are invited to join
us on Thursday, October 23rd at 7:00 pm, at the
CAOC building located at 1111 Memorial Dr NW.
Sign up on the website calendar. We’ll provide
the beverages and snacks; you bring THE questions
and a modicum of enthusiasm.
This is an excellent evening workshop to learn how
best to assess which peaks are suitable to be
climbed, with the backdrop of the seasonal nature
of climbing, looking at natural hazards, objective
danger and route selection in concert with your
own abilities

Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
