Eldorado Cabin, BC

Eldorado Cabin is located in the Chilcotin
backcountry (1.5 hrs west of Lilooet, BC which
is
about 10 hrs drive from Calgary). The South
Chilcotin Mountains offer magnificent vistas,
an
abundance of dry powder snow and plenty of
sunshine.
Eldorado Cabin has a similar set up to many ACC
huts. It is simple, cozy and well-suited to the
backcountry types. We will ski into the hut
with
our big packs (6-8 hrs for intermediate level
of
fitness – 10km and about 1000m elevation gain).
You will need to pack light.
Cost: $250 (includes hut accommodation) will be
payable by Sep 30, 2014 via email transfer to
Lida
The cabin sleeps up to 9 and has sleeping pads.
You will need to bring your own sleeping bag
and
food. Inside the cabin there is a wood stove, a
propane cooking stove, a kitchen with basic
utensils (pots, pans, etc.), solar powered 12V
lights, an outdoor sauna, and an outhouse.
We will drive to the Lilooet area on Dec 26 (or
earlier if you like) and stay in a nearby
hotel.
On Dec 27 we will get up early and drive
another
1.5 hrs and then ski into the hut (6-8 hrs)
carrying all of our gear for 5 days. Dec 28,
29, 30 and 31 we SKI A LOT!! Jan 1 we will
likely ski for half a day and then ski out to
our
cars (2 hrs). And that will conclude 5 days of
powder heaven!

powder of BC famous backcountry.
Procedures to join this trip are as follows:
1. Sign up on the ACC site
2. Wait until you receive a questionnaire
(you
will have 2 days to complete it)
3. Wait until you are place on the trip
list.
You will then have until Sep 30, 2014 to pay
the
$250 to Lida via email transfer.
4. If your payment is not received by Sep
30,
you will be removed from the trip and the next
skier will be selected.
5. Additional instructions will follow once
all trip participants are selected.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!
If you cancel, you might not get a refund if there
is
no suitable participant to take your spot.
*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
