Itinerary:
A weather window has developed. It would be nice to drive up Tues and stay the night, then hike in the 27 Km (9 to 11 hours) to Extinguisher Tower. Next day 7 hours to Dome. Attempt the Face next day. Resplendent my be an additional option on the way out. This alpine snow route my have ice up to 50 degrees. It would be good if you were at least a intermediate mountaineer. It's is a long way in with heavy packs, so you should be in good shape. Please state what conditioning you have done this season and what alpine ice (or waterfall ice) experience, and alpine experience you have
Required Items to Bring:
glacier gear, crampons, two ice tools, including a longer axe, ice screws, pickets?

Sorry for short notice, but the weather window has just developed with a reasonable accuracy. If you are unable to drive to Jasper on Tues, we could drive up on Wed.

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
