Itinerary: |
Do you really want to stay in Canada in October?
It is too cold to climb rock, too warm to climb
ice, too wet to scramble and too dry to ski. The
only thing to do is whine, and who wants to do
that?
Or, you could head out on an adventure, drink some
cheap beer, climb some classic rock and generally
enjoy the desert during its most pleasant time of
year.
Target climbing is ~5.10`s trad or sport (plus or
minus, likely minus), mostly cragging, some multi-
pitch. People who lead will have the most fun.
There will be a night or two of associated crack
training at U of C.
Plan is to leave the evening of October 10 for
somewhere in the the book "Rock and Road" that
satisfies the follow conditions:
1) Best available weather
2) Classic rock
3) Cheap beer and camping
A destination will be decided last minute with
group input, and could change mid-trip. Historic
destinations have been J-tree, Yosemite, Indian
Creek, Smith Rocks and City of Rocks.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
