Itinerary:
This is NOT a guided trip. Participants will be added 2 at a time so that we can climb in even numbers. You will only be considered if you have intermediate alpine rock/mountaineering experience (see below).

Tuesday Aug 12th: meet at carpool at 8:00am (details to be forwarded to participants), drive to the Bugs, Hike into the Konran Kain Hut.
Wed and Thurs: climb in groups of 2; objectives will be based on ability level.
Friday Aug 15th: Hike out early and drive back to Calgary.

Pre-requisites: Participants will be required to send a list of objectives that they have completed that are similar in difficulty to objectives they are looking to climb in the Bugaboos. Because we are climbing in pairs, the minimum ability that is required is that at least one person in the party can lead competently and efficiently on glacier and sustained 5th class rock and the second needs to also be able to climb efficiently, give a safe lead belay; in addition all participants must have rock rescue and crevasse rescue. Preference will be given to participants that have already climbed in the Bugaboos before (but is not a requirement.)

We will all be staying at the Konrad Kain hut. I will let you know if you are approved on the trip and if so you will need to email transfer $75 (3 nights) for hut fees before you are added on the trip (no exceptions; there has been issues on recent trips on participants settling funds so we are doing this in advance).

Gear list will be forwarded and discussed with trip participants. Hope you can make it out !!

Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons.
