Itinerary:

--Note this trip has been extended another night to include July 4--

This trip visits the 10 peaks area near Moraine Lake. Access to the Neil Colgan Hut requires climbing the 5.7 Perren Route with heavy packs. Plan is to meet at the Moraine Lake parking lot early Friday morning and then climb to the hut. We will return Sunday afternoon via the Perren Route.

Objectives will depend on conditions and preference but include scrambling, alpine ice, and alpine rock routes on Mts Fay, Little, Bowlen and others.

Participants will be pre-screened for rock climbing and glacier travel experience and there will be a pre-trip meeting in June. Hut fees will cost $25 per person (payable to the trip coordinator) plus $9.80 per night backcountry wilderness pass (arranged and paid by the participant, if needed).

Required Items to Bring:
Sleeping bag, food, alpine climbing gear

How to Get There:
Carpool Departure Time:   06:00 AM
Carpool Location:   TBD

Notes:
I have not done this trip before so bring your sense of adventure!

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
