Itinerary:
This is a trip for people who have already some trad multi-pitch experience. The goal is to climb Dan's Delight 5.6 or Ken's Cave 5.8 depending on the weather and the participants signing up for this trip. Although the grades of both routes sound not too hard, they are serious climbs due to their length of more than 400m each. The descent must not be taken lightly either --- expect it to be long and tedious (3 hrs according to the guide book). Participants need to be able to give the leader a safe belay, follow confidently at the grade, handle great exposure, remove gear as a second etc. Expect a very long day. If you haven't climbed with me within the last year, please submit a short description showing your rock climbing skills to link_tobias(at)web.de. Only people sending me a climbing resume will be considered as a participant - no exceptions! This trip is part of the Rock Review 2014 and participant need to be signed up for this event as well. We might even meet out at the Canoe Meadows Camground the day before to sign waivers and distribute gear so we can get a nice and early start the next day.
Required Items to Bring:
helmet, harness, belay device, rock shoes, nut tool, rain/wind jacket, food for the day, water. A more detailed list will be send out once participants are selected.
