Back of the Lake Cragging
Lake Louise has some of the highest quality rock for single pitch trad climbing near Calgary. There are also a large number of sport routes in the area.
Meet in Calgary or at Lake Louise, depending on participant preference.
Weather in May is unpredictable, so this event is weather dependent.

The Trans-Canada dissects Banff National Park east to west as you come in from
Calgary. Travel to the Lake Louise exit and turn left through town and follow this road
5kms to its end at the Lake Louise parking area. The trail head parking lot is to the
left and is free of charge. There are restrooms at this location. For those meeting at locations, this will be the meeting spot
Head west for the
lake and follow it to its right. Eventually this will turn into a wide trail and leave the
hotel complex behind.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
