Itinerary: |
** Please note- this is NOT a beginner ski trip. You must be a
strong skier (both on the uptrack and survival ski to get down the
ice/crust/sun slopes)** This classic Rockies ascent gains 1300
meters over
8 km's.
We will be travelling on huge slopes so good snow
stability will
be required. The total ski distance is 16km's with
over a
1000m
ski descent so we will be moving quite fast.
Still, expect this to
take up to 10 hours.
If avalanche hazard is too high and / or weather
less than ideal
we will rethink this trip (and may look at other
options).
Please specify your level of avalanche training,
skiing ability
and
how much skiing you have done this year in the
comments
section (if you have not skied with us already).

Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
