Itinerary:
POSTPONED FROM 13 APRIL Aiming for a peak and if possible a nice couloir - Surprise Pass, Cirque Peak North, etc; will make a decision on Saturday depending on conditions; obviously need stability so if there are any safety concerns will aim for a more conservative alternative. Participants must have at least AST 1 or equivalent and basic crevasse training, and be comfortable skiing steep lines. Please note that Cirque Peak North might require a rappel, thus you need to be comfortable rapelling with skis on backpack. Splitboards ok, snowshoes with snowboard on carry not. The early start is necessary to avoid the daytime warming hazard. Looking forward to a fun day & with a fun crew!
Required Items to Bring:
Ski touring gear, Avi gear (transceiver digital min 2 antenna, metal shovel, probe min 2.4m), glacier travel gear (harness, prussiks, biners, etc)

Recommended Items to Bring:
Helmet highly recommended

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
