Itinerary:
The trail systems to and from Naya Kanga are remote and we will be spending most of our nights in tents. We will approach the Langtang Valley following one of the GHT trails to Tilman's Pass. The route out of the valley will follow the Ganja La pass trail after our attempt on Naya Kanga. In total the trip will entail about 145km over 24 days through some of least travelled trekking routes and passes in Nepal. We will climb Naya Kanga following the normal route, establishing a base camp, high camp and then follow its northeast ridge on ice and snow to the summit.
Required Items to Bring:
Alpine climbing gear. A detailed list will be provided to trip participants

Recommended Items to Bring:

How to Get There:
Event Directions:   Flights to Kathmandu can be arranged through most major airlines and can be approached from either east or west from Calgary. Flight costs will range from $1700 to $2600 (economy) depending on route and airline.

Notes:
Participants will be selected on their alpine mountaineering and altitude experience. A good level of fitness will increase your chances of success. There will be a team of Climbing Sherpas to guide and assist the group as necessary and porters to carry the equipment and supplies. Cooks and Kitchen staff will be provided to prepare meals on route, and at high camp. A complete information package will be sent to anyone interested in joining. Please email me or put your name on the wait list for this event to get the info pack. We will be using a local agency for all of our in country logistics. This cost is being negotiated and is expected to be about $3500 US per person.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

A non refundable deposit (timing and amount to be determined) will be required to secure a spot on this trip.
*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
