Itinerary:
Event #3 in the BITSB program. This time out we enter the realm of big mountain riding with an ascent of Mt Field. The long slog up is rewarded with a 1300m vertical descent. This trip will be a 16km round trip. Participants should be prepared for a long day with up to 6 hours of up track followed by an amazing run down. If you don't have it in you to maintain the pace please wait for another smaller objective on Event #4.
Required Items to Bring:
Beacon, probe, shovel, splitboard (can be rented at the U of C or Splitboard HQ in Calgary), lunch, warm clothes.

Recommended Items to Bring:
Recommended you have an AST 1 or 2 certificate.

How to Get There:
Carpool Departure Time:   06:00 AM
Carpool Location:   Assumption School
Carpool Directions:   Car pool at the Assumption School just off 16th Ave on the way west out of Calgary.

Notes:
Drivers will need a national park pass.

Cancellation Policy
If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
