Itinerary:
Calling all BITS/Beginner Backcountry Ski Chicks! Part 1 of 2 Join us for a fun-filled scenic day and ski up to Chester Lake in a supportive and confidence- building environment. This is the 1st ski trip of 2 ski trips, with the 2nd trip being an overnighter at Egypt Lake Shelter (ski in and out via Healy Pass) the w/e of February 22-23, 2014 (see posting). Preference will be given to those who can participate in both trips. We will assess travel hazards, check out snow conditions and get some turns in on some very low angled terrain.
Required Items to Bring:
Transceiver (at least 2 antennae + digital), snow shovel, probe, warm clothing, ski gear, sunglasses/ski goggles and headlamp.

Recommended Items to Bring:
Beverage, snacks, lunch, extra clothing and any required personal items.

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
