Itinerary: |
Join us for a fun, adventure filled family day
long weekend at Silver Star Mountain Resort near
Vernon, BC.
We will help coordinate your "Silver Star" package
(shared accommodation on the hill - at a funky
five bedroom vacation home, a 3 bedroom suite at
the firelight lodge or family accommodation at the
snowbird lodge), lift tix at a discounted rate,
etc.
We will also help organize some yummy meals (e.g.,
potlucks dinners or group outings to a restaurant
on the hill). Plus, some awesome ski buddies!
The weekend will be flexible to allow you and your
family to ski (downhill or nordic), snowshoe,
adventure park tubing and skating or chillax away
from home (maybe in a hot tub!). There options for
lessons for the kids and child care on the slope
if you are keen to get out and do a few runs on
your own schedule as well.
Once you express interest, we can provide you with
specifics around cost and how to book your
accommodation, ski packages, etc.
|
Required Items to Bring: |
Depends on what activities that you plan on
tackling! Great food for the potluck meals!!

skates, etc).

contributions (kitchens available to cook
together)
Bathing suit (hot tubs)
Whatever adventure you wish to partake in! (they

|
How to Get There: |
Event Directions: |
|
Silver Star is 574 km from Calgary.
Head West on Hwy 1 to Sicamous, then take 97A to
Vernon 22km north east (up the hill) to the Silver
Star Mtn Resort.
Please note that road conditions are a major
consideration in February. You will need to check
the road conditions, including temporary road
diversions that can affect your drive.
Even better - if you are able to swing a flight
from Calgary to Kelowna, then you can catch the
silver star shuttle!!

Notes: |
Please email us at petercgrant@hotmail.com and
lfownes@shaw.ca with questions (preferred
correspondence via email than phone). Be sure to
register all adults and add the kids as guests
with their ages please! This trip is a great way
to get your kids out in the mountains. It's also a
great way to meet other ACC members with kids to
get out and do things with.
Registration is NOT COMPLETE until you've signed
up and paid in full to Silver Star Mtn Resort.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!
Silver Star Mtn Resort has specific cancellation
policies for acommodation. We will send you this
information when you add your information to the
waitlist and connect you with a representative if
you have specific questions before you pay your
deposit.
*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
