Itinerary:
This event is part of the Rock Review. Suitable if you want to try a short trad gear climb with an uber-short approach, then go sport climb at Barrier or Wasootch with the rest of the gang. IS THIS EVENT FOR ME? Yes, if... ... you are comfortable seconding on 5.8 ... you know how to provide a safe belay for someone on lead ... you are comfortable with rappelling ... you would like to try a multi-pitch
Required Items to Bring:
Climbing gear: helmet, harness, belay device, chalk bag, 2 locking carabiners, long sling, prussik, climbing shoes, (nut tool if you have one - please advise if you need to borrow) Clothing: approach shoes, shell jacket, climbing clothes [be prepared for wind/rain] Nutrition: water, food to eat on the go

Recommended Items to Bring:
walking pole small daypack to carry your water, jacket, etc. long socks, long pants you can roll up - it is tick season and they are hungry!

Notes:
Preference may be given to those who have not had an opportunity to do a trad multi-pitch. Please notify me of your experience, particularly on lead belaying, if we have not climbed together previously.

Cancellation Policy
If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
