Itinerary:
Leave Calgary very early in order to maximize daylight while on the trail skiing. There may be a small rappel involved in order to gain what should be a great protected North ski descent through the col just to the west of Cirque Peak as described on Pg. 91 of Summits and Icefields under "A Good Variation". We will require a very brief car shuttle north in the morning so as to save us a slog along the highway at the end of the day.
Required Items to Bring:
climbing harness, rappel device, two locking carabiners, two non locking carabiners, 1 short (1m) prussik and 1 longer (5m) prussik, mountaineering helmet, Ice axe, crampons, AT gear, beacon (no single antenna models please), shovel, probe, a pack that holds your skis well during a rappel (ski strap?), knowledge of the use of the above equipment and techniques such as rappelling and companion rescue.

Recommended Items to Bring:
lunch, water and anything you to get you through a day of ski mountaineering comfortably like a nice lunch and snacks and maybe some tea.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:   93 N, East of Crowfoot Glades.
Carpool Departure Time:   06:00 AM
Carpool Location:   recycling bins near Stoney Tr and 16th ave West
Carpool Directions:   West on #1 from Calgary, exit right to West Valley Rd, spin around the roundabout, under the highway, then back toward Calgary. Near the recycling bins
