Itinerary:
This is another trip focused on introducing skiers to the backcountry. The tour follows a trail through heavy forest to a impressive little mountain cirque Distance 9 km with stops for lunch and enjoying the sites.
Required Items to Bring:
Skis, poles, boots, avi transceiver (no single antenna analogue units), probe, shovel, warm clothes, water, lunch, extra gloves.

Recommended Items to Bring:
Ski goggles, helmit, camera, hot chocolate

Carpool Departure Time:   07:15 AM
Carpool Location:   Parking lot by the recycle bins by 16 Ave (Transcanada Hiway) and Stoney Trail
Carpool Directions:   Located on the frontage road of 16th Ave just west of the new Stoney Trail intersection on the south side. Access is via the Valley Ridge exit, go under the hwy and take the first left on the frontage road (west) and it's about 1km on the right.

Notes:
Preference will be given to those who looking to gain back country skiing experience.

Cancellation Policy
If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
